Marsalforn is one of the most popular beaches in Gozo, providing an ideal place to swim, sunbath and enjoy the Mediterranean climate. It is the largest and most developed seaside resort in Gozo with plenty of restaurants, hotels and cafes. During summers, Marsalforn pulses with life. The traditional Maltese Luzzu fishing boats give Marsalforn Bay a charming and cozy feel and they also provide the restaurants in the bay with fresh seafood. The sandy beach in Marsalforn Bay is quite small, but it is clean and safe for swimming even though it connects to a small harbour on one side of the bay. Children like the beach as it is protected from winds and it has shallow waters. The Bay offers additional bathing opportunities in the surrounding rocky coastline on the left side of the bay up to Santa Marija point, with less people. Marsalforn beach offers water sports and boat trips around Gozo and Comino for the more adventurous visitors.
